Charles Brenner, Ph.D.
In 2004, Dr. Charles Brenner discovered nicotinamide riboside (NR) could increase levels of a key cellular resource. This resource supports energy metabolism and plays an important role in the maintenance of good health. Although NR is a naturally occuring vitamin in milk, it’s only found in trace amounts. Based on Dr. Brenner’s patents and the established techniques of our parent company, ChromaDex, NR is exclusively licensed and developed as Niagen™.
NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is an important resource found in all living cells. We use it every day for things like breathing, eating, sleeping, and drinking. After over 100 years of studying this molecule, researchers are publishing more articles about NAD than ever before.
